![]() I only have one gripe: I'm not against DLC by principle, but this material really should have been part of the original game. All in all "For Science!" makes the original game better. You might argue that making the player OP isn't really a "fix" for the game's uneven difficulty–but feeling like a permanent badass sure makes for a more fun game. I could walk through the first "ultra-hard" Dreamland world without much trouble, only getting stuck a few times on a handful of thougher levels. Between the easier upgrades and the new perks and weapons, "For Science!" makes the game much easier, at least until you reach the really high levels. The crazy new perks in particular, coupled with the fact that you can pick among three of them at every upgrade, make you nearly invincible in some situations. Also, "For Science!" deals with the original game's uneven difficulty, even if you might not like its solution: the new mechanics in "For Science!" turn you into wildly overpowered killing machine. This DLC is way more generous than the original game with "crystals", and you improve your stats naturally as you play. In a way, "For Science!" solves both those problems. Second, the game's difficulty swerves wildly all over the place. First, it forces you through a boring grind to improve your stats and pass the hardest levels. I have two issues with the original game. You might even say that without it, you're playing a flawed version of the game.
